We support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and their parents and carers.

We provide a free, impartial and confidential service to help with concerns or questions around education, health, social care, inclusion and preparing for adulthood.

Young people

We can help young people with a special education need or disability with information about getting support at school or college, health and wellbeing, and preparing for adulthood.

If you're a professional working with children and young people with special education needs or disabilities, we can assist you with information and support. Or you can use our online form to make referrals to our service.

Our resources include details of national organisations and useful videos which will provide you with information about special education needs and disability support.

York SENDIASS operates a ‘self-referral’ process. Young People can contact us directly, or they may be signposted to our services by others including professionals, schools or voluntary organisations.
